Who is disabled?
If we fail to see the person,
but only the disability,
then: who is blind?
If we can not hear
our brother’s cry for justice,
then: who is deaf?
If we do not stand up
for the right of all persons,
then: who is crippled?
If we do not communicate with our brothers,
but separate them from us,
then: who is disabled?
Our attitude towards persons with a disability
may be our biggest handicap.
